PRIVACY & COOKIES

How Qrated Media Ltd handles your data, and how cookies are used on this site.

Who we are

This website is operated by Qrated Media Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14857048). We are the data controller for the personal data described on this page. If you have any questions about how we handle your information, email us at hello@qratedmedia.co.uk.

What we collect and why

Contact form: when you get in touch through our contact page we collect the details you choose to give us, such as your name, email address, company and a description of your project. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and to discuss working together. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us, and where we go on to work together, the performance of a contract.

Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use this website, for example which pages are visited and on what devices. This data is aggregated and does not identify you by name. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner. The legal basis is your consent.

We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for automated decision-making, and we do not collect any special category data.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. This website uses two kinds. Essential cookies are needed for the site to function and to remember your cookie preference; these cannot be switched off. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help us measure and improve the site; these are optional and are only set after you accept them in the banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clearing your browser cookies, which will make the banner appear again, and you can block cookies entirely in your browser settings.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of trusted providers to run this website and our business: Framer (website hosting), Google (analytics and email) and our form notification service. Each processes data on our behalf under their own data processing terms. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are protected by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to respond and, if we work together, for the duration of our relationship and a reasonable period afterwards for our records. Analytics data is retained according to the Google Analytics retention setting, currently 14 months, after which it is deleted or aggregated.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis. To exercise any of these, email hello@qratedmedia.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
